Yes, it is possible to swim in Bassenthwaite. It’s much quieter than neighbouring lakes thanks to motorised craft being banned. Yes, kayaking and canoeing are both allowed at Crummock Water, however you must have a permit. Yes, Windermere is a great place to enjoy a range of watersports. Swimming is unfortunately not allowed in Haweswater Reservoir. Yes, kayaking and canoeing are both permitted on Coniston.
Our reception is open from 9am to 6pm (9pm Friday & Saturday). If you require assistance outside of these times contact the Duty Warden. Please check the notice on the reception door as where to locate them. For your safety and security and to minimise noise the Park gates are locked at 11pm and open at 7.30am.

All rooms have exposed beams, Double Glazing and Central Heating. The kitchen has full size built in 4 ring hob and oven. There is also a Fridge Freezer and Microwave Oven. Sorry but we do not allow pets or smoking at our cottage. You just need to bring yourselves and a set of towels. Smoking is not permitted in any of our static caravans for hire.
Check out for guests staying in our camping fields is normally by 12pm. All our touring pitches are gravel hard standing with their own electric, water and drainage. The walk around Coniston is approximately 14 miles.
